Exhausted Ambition

Recently, I was asked to write a short song for a film inspired by Ethio Jazz. The film follows a budding stand-up comedian performing live, and recounting all the nonsense that happened to him in that day.

The filmmaker, in our initial discussion, used the term “exhausted ambition”, which really spoke to me personally and influenced my perspective on the song; the music kind of goes nowhere while still moving forward.
